Seattle Finally Hires Second Assistant Coach

Seattle, WA • Seattle Juggernauts' owner Daniel Ronel has announced that Saul McBain will join Ed Nolan and Stan Diesma on the on-bench staff, as an assistant coach.
Some analysts are saying that McBain is being brought in with the purpose of being groomed and eventually overtaking Nolan for the head position. While this is merely speculation, we already know that Nolan is on the hot seat after failing to lead Seattle into the playoff — this marked the teams' second season in a row sitting on the outside, looking in.
Ronel himself is already looking to squash those rumours; "What? What? Shut up. Just, all of you! Shut up. I don't know who's a** you pulled those rumours out of, but I have never claimed this to anyone, nor have I even taken the time to think about it. While I'll admit missing the playoffs last year stung, it was because of [Nolan] that a push for the playoffs happened.
"I have full faith in him, I'm giving him the full season — even if he loses every single f***ing game — to show me what he can do. End of discussion. Next question."
Little did Ronel know, but that was the last question they had planned for him at that particular press conference. Regardless, updates on Nolan's status will continue to come throughout the season. Stay tuned. ∆
